  Open Access Journal of Urology and Nephrology  |  Stephy Publis her Abstract: Background: Prostate cancer detection is currently based on serum PSA with a digital rectal examination which is neither specific nor sensitive, which caused many unnecessary prostate gland biopsies that are highly expensive and can result in unwanted complications. Serum free PSA increases with a larger prostate gland,yet declines with a gland that contains cancer cells, thus prompting the hypothesis that calculating the ratio of serum free PSA against prostate gland volume provides the so-called “free PSA density” which can be utilized to improve prostate cancer detection. Methods: Male participants were deemed eligible if they are at risk of prostate cancer with a PSA level of 4-10 ng/dL and aged between 50-75 years. Archives of Dairy Research and Veterinary Science - (ADVS) | Stephy publishers Abstract: Because the time in which gestational loss or bovine abortion occurs is associated with multifactorial causes, the objective of this study was to assess multivariate relationships between the biochemical profile and acute phase proteins in aborted cows. We performed monitoring and monthly blood sampling during gestation in 140 dairy cows. A total of 18 cows aborted, which were considered ‘cases’; retrospectively, we used samples from 29 ‘control’ cows, which were taken at the same time. Thus, we compared multivariate relationships between the two groups, to evaluate variables potentially associated with cow abortion. We classified abortion as either infectious (due to DVB, leptospirosis or neosporosis) or non-infectious (protein or energetic imbalance evinced in metabolic profile). Caring for a patient living with dementia is challenging for the hospital staff, especially for those exhibiting neuropsychiatric symptoms. Providing person centred care has been recognised as the ideal model of care for the persons with dementia. However, this care model is time consuming and requires training and education. Provision of good care in the hospital for the older persons with dementia include avoidance of restraints, prescription of psychotropics, in-hospital fall reduction, minimising risk of cognitive and functional decline with discharge home to their families and loved ones.Person centred care is effective in the acute setting,with proper training, guidance and leadership.
