Surgery International Open Access Journal  - (SIOAJ)|  Stephy Publishers Abstract Introduction: In an observational and retrospective study we wish to demonstrate that the performance of Preoperative Ultrasound prior to implantation of a Totally Implantable Venous Access Port (TIVAP) using Cephalic Vein Cut-down (CVC) improves the success rate and reduces complications. Method: Between 2008 and 2018, 860 Cephalic Veins (CV) were studied preoperatively with Ultrasound. The Cephalic Vein was not suitable with a diameter less than or equal to 3.3mm. Diameters, procedure times, success rate, follow-ups and complications were studied. Results: An Ultrasound was performed on 860CV, 146 (16.9%) were ruled out for implantation for various reasons.   Surgery International Open Access Journal - (SIOAJ)| Stephy Publishers Abstract Background: The gold standard for auricle reconstruction is currently performed with autologous costal cartilage. This process is done at about nine years of age, but it leads to thoracic deformity, reported in up to 70% of the patients using a Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. Objective: The present study aims to determine if this deformity has functional implications for the patients. Methods: 54 patients were clinically evaluated and subjected to spirometry at least one year after the surgery. Results: Four cases had moderate pulmonary restriction, while seven had mild lung restriction. A total of 20.3% of the patients showed pulmonary restriction. The new results are particularly crucial for patients with preoperative (pre-op) ventilatory disease. You place a device through a single incision between 18mm to 50mm and 3-4 trocars can be used. Our work consists of making 3 little incisions to put the three trocars which measure 5 mm and use conventional instruments that measure 36 cm of length of laparoscopic surgery within the internal limits of the umbilicus. Objective: Describe the surgery technique and evaluate the initial results of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy option through three intraumbilical incisions. Methods: It is a retrospective, descriptive, multicentre and observational study. The key objective of this study was to assess the weaver-bird crop-raiding activity in Buea municipality on different environmental parameters. The study was undertaken for three months, six days in a week, from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Scan observations were made on birds’ activity on a five-minute interval period across the entire study area. Simultaneously, data was collected on the environmental conditions.
